That feeling of giving something to someone when you know the difference it will make in their life. We are so fortunate. Fortunate to have clean water, food on our tables, and the ability to create financial abundance.
I find that the feeling when I give to someone surpasses words. Giving a gift or giving your time is something that is incredible. It is the sense of community that is created – that sense that someone out there cares. For me personally, if there wasn’t those that gave when my house was burnt down – uninsured – it would have been even harder to rebuild. I’m not sure where I would be now.
So please take the time – no matter what you can give – to share your time or money. It may be with one of the charities below or another of your own choice. Make a difference in someone’s life and tell them you care …
Green Peace is something that is close to my heart. Having worked in the outdoors for many years I have experienced firsthand how being in the natural environment is so calming and healing. It is amazing how when we step back into nature how many things that seemed so big, are now so small. Our natural environments are so important to care for. We, as custodians for planet earth, need to care, protect and help the earth. I want to do everything I can to make sure the natural environment is here for my son and his children to enjoy.

Again something that is close to my heart. I surf and know how healing and freeing it is to be in the water and experience being at one and moving with nature. The ocean has a way of healing all that needs to be and gives time for reflection. Which is no wonder as our bodies are made up of 60-80% water. They are a non-profit humanitarian organisation whose aim is to improve the health, wellbeing and self-reliance of people living in isolated regions connected to us through surfing. I have travelled and surfed around the world – and if you have too, you know the connections that we have as surfers, and the connections we forge with the local communities we are drawn to. AND the impact that a small donation has to someone’s life.
